- LINDSAY’S INTEGRATED ROAD BIKE -

Lindsay’s integrated road bike is one of those bike you just want to jump on and ride. It is elegant, simple and oozes class.

The frame is built from Columbus Spirit and Life tubes in diameters and shapes which result in the perfect balance of absorbency and stiffness - comfort for those long days in the saddle and ready to rock whenever the time comes.

Details on this frame include round hooded dropouts, integrated flat mount bosses and an integrated seat bolt with faced and chamfered seat bolt. These are among the most popular upgrades on custom Feather builds and really make a big difference to the overall look and finish of a custom build and as a builder, anything less always feels slightly lazy. These features, although giving a very simple look are actually very time consuming and also improve the quality of a frame. The dropouts help stiffen things up in the back and a little compared to a plate dropout. The seat clamp offers up pressure across a much greater area of the seat post, meaning less torque on the bolt with far better holding power versus a regular brazed-on pinch bolt.

The build is based around Columbus’ new Trittico integrated cockpit system which I am a huge fan of. This system allows you to use a regular tapered headset, meaning completely hidden hoses, but no bulky top headset cup. The handlebars have been designed from the ground up to be one of the most ergonomic handlebars on the market and the seat post offers amazing fine tuning for bike fit purposes, allowing you to set up either 15mm or 25mm of saddle setback using just one set of clamping hardware.

The VW Turmeric yellow paint with a full matching set of Chris King ‘Midnight’ components is a match made in heaven and 100% lends itself to the simplicity of this bike. Even the new antique bronze head tube badge fits the bill!
